Test wall of 3 layers of matboard (1.5mm thick per sheet) with varying window depths. The material was difficult to cut due to thickness, and lining up the openings was also tedious. We decided not to work with this material.
Material: Foam core and pasteboard.
Main issue was trying to keep the cuts neat with the foam core (3mm and 5mm thick).
Section: North-South along the entrance corridor wall (to emphasise circulation and complexity of spatial arrangement, particularly split levels).
We started with the exterior walls and the 3rd floor as a datum to work from.
Cladding foam core with card to differentiate between sectional cuts and the edge of floor platforms.
